I’ll be going live in the future. Have to work with tech since I went to Linux & it messes with live-stream programs. I did post a goal on my profile since I really want to get swine in the future to take out a weed problem naturally instead of using chemicals. I hate chemicals.

Swine will naturally eat the roots of the weed problem creating healthy meat, happy hogs and no chemicals. The problem is due to fire risk I have to be able to evacuate them. It is not fair to have animals with no preparedness in advance. We try to be eco-friendly here but it is expensive.
The weed is called Japanese Knotweed. I have been making dessert with it. I’m going to make some jelly this week with it. I can’t sell anything on the homestead food wise until I can afford insurance. Face it… Some people are sue happy. It is a weed that will rip pipes, foundations and asphalt apart (it is ripping our asphalt apart). It is good for preventing or shrinking tumors. Tastes like Rhubarb. Bees love it and it makes amazing honey. It is getting close to our foundation of the Ranch House and could rip our foundation. Given the natural properties of the plant I question what it will do to benefit the swine who love roots. We will be creating a rotating field for them so they get fresh roots. We really don’t want to use chemicals to deal with the knotweed because it is not proven to take out the weed plus can add to problems in the eco-system where as swine will be a benefit to all.
Given we have had an arson last Fourth of July (nobody cared) evacuation is something that needs advanced attention to. It is unfair to put the animals in an unsafe circumstance especially if humans are our of order.
Here are hogs we raised years ago on less land. They were happy hogs. We like happy animals. Thanks for reading.
