Country Dumping

Our 2 sweethearts were dumped as kittens at around estimated 6 months old at 3 lbs, dehydrated and malnourished at the homestead about 2 days after Christmas. We took them in to protect them from predators, (coyotes, raptors, wildcats, etc) and got them a veterinary checkup and altered. They are indoor cats and are afraid of outdoors. June they celebrated their 3rd birthday.

We live in the country and when pets are dumped they can become predators food or kill wildlife. Please don’t dump animals on or by our homestead or anywhere. Take them to a shelter. We cannot house anymore unwanted animals.

I will only have a work dog for livestock and the geese have taken that job. I like to forage and don’t want dog urine or poop where I garden or forage. I also don’t want wildlife scared and if a dog is needed a gun will be used instead.

Right now I am trying to build trust with a feral cat that has chosen the homestead to live so I can trap it, send it to the vet, and make it an indoor cat with a forever home.

Please stop dumping animals. Spay and neuter and be responsible animal handlers / owners. If you breed, don’t line breed unless you are trained. Freedom comes with responsibility and if you choose to be irresponsible then fuck off about your right to freedom. I don’t want to hear the bullshit.
