Lessons Learned In Life.. Passed Down.. Today Useful

Son was getting frustrated with himself on a mistake he made. His Amazon item took longer than expected and he thought it was lost in the mail and asked for a refund and was granted one. Few days later he received his item and asked to pay the refunded amount back and customer service said there is no way to do it. Seller is even having difficulty answering how to refund the refund probably due to translator. He was cutting himself down.

I said to look on Google. There is an old saying I heard when I was in Therapy:

Guy talking to his buddy about an embarrassing thing he did as a Child. He said, “when I was young I fucked a chicken”. “His buddy said you did too?!”

Moral of the story is if you did something, someone else did as well. There is no such thing as terminal uniqueness. If you did a mistake someone else did as well. Thankfully now we have a search engine to find an answer from each-other on how to fix it. We all are searching Google together and found how to fix it and get the seller their money back.

I told both boys, sometimes frustrations out of control can lead to worse outcomes. Control your response on little things. This way an foolish eavesdropper don’t add to your problems or if you have bad cards at a table full of foolish idiots you can control your response to remove yourself allot quicker hopefully.

GenX was taught at an early age how to collect Data. I told them I find myself on search engines looking up one thing, then find more subjects that take me on different paths. Don’t get frustrated. Get curious and creative.

(My trans child with They/ Them pronouns recently decided his pronouns are He/Him and he is male, so I am using his intended pronouns. I support and talk to my children. He felt stupid for changing his mind. I said in this time of science (Hormones, Military Industrial Complex, Power Plays, Passive War, etc) and learning who self is truly we go through different phases until we find our fit. It is a personal path. You learn who you are as an individual. There is nothing wrong with living authentically. Our homestead is a Safe Place to live authentically.)
