Pronouns on the Homestead
In our home pronoun wise we use what ever we feel to each other. Publicly we use chosen pronouns encouraging respect. There is a difference when you love and trust someone to respect you and among others who are jerks and don’t deserve trust. Publicly I respect my offspring’s pronouns and use their chosen pronouns. Privately we could care less. We just like being around each-other and know each-other enough to relax. There is a difference. Visitors pronouns are respected.
I am non-binary and use They/Them publicly while privately among those I love and respect no preference. I choose to use offspring to talk about my children to keep the focus on them who they are instead of people pleasing others. I personally don’t like allot of people and their opinions unless there is some good fruit and root.
One of my offspring is He/Him Cis-male. The other Offspring is They/ Them and like me no preference at home among those they love and respect. My husband is Cis-male who is He/Him. For us the factor is not a pronoun but a Verb. As I said in a previous post, we are loners. People pleasing is not something we care allot about.
This year we will not be decorating the homestead outdoors. After the arson on the 4th of July we decided to take all decor indoors and be a bit more reclusive. Plus we are painting the porch and repairing it.
